Tech Tuesday - Logitech MEETUP Video Conferencing Camera
Logitech has had a dominant presence in the AV market for years, and with no signs of slowing down - we can’t wait to see the inventive products they come out with in the future—but for now, let’s focus on a product that IS currently on the market.
On today’s Tech Tuesday, we take a dive into the Logitech MeetUp Video Conferencing Camera —Logitech’s all-in-one video conferencing solution for small to mid-size meeting rooms and collaboration spaces.
Video Conferencing Made Easy
The advantage the MeetUp provides is it’s all-in-one functionality, paired with an incredibly easy-to-use interface. Additionally, the video, audio and microphone hardware inside is very high-quality, allowing you to look and sound your best in meetings.
Beginning with the camera features; The onboard camera in the center records up to 4K UltraHD at 30 frames per second. It also features a Pan, Tilt and Zoom function with up to 5X zoom capabilities. This is paired with Logitech’s RightSight technology, which automatically adjusts the camera frame to fit everyone in the room.
Be Heard
From a microphone standpoint: the MeetUp comes with a 3-element, beamforming microphone system. This system, in conjunction with Logitech's RightSound technology, creates a wide field of sound input for the microphone, ensuring everyone in the room is loud and clear. The standard microphone has about a 4-meter range, and there is an optional microphone addition that can extend that an extra meter or so. During our tests in Evolution AV’s headquarters boardroom, we noticed that the realistic pickup of the microphone did extend beyond 4 meters with relatively little quality loss. However, the ideal zone is still within 4 meters of the device.
Crystal Clear Audio
Inside the MeetUp is a full-range speaker system, designed to provide crystal clear audio to the room. The speaker is encased in Logitech’s patent-pending anti-vibration enclosure, which is beneficial for companies using the full volume range of the speaker, as it will not cause unpleasant vibrations against whatever display or device it’s mounted to.
Use Cases
The MeetUp is the perfect solution for a small to midsize boardroom. The compact form factor, modern presence and ease of use lends itself to the modern meeting room setup. Our boardroom here at Evolution AV would be considered midsize, and the MeetUp performed great in our video conferencing tests.
