LED video wall installation by EvolutionAV at 801 Seventh in Calgary — Learn more about Zeidler Architecture’s design philosophy behind the new atrium.
A Bold Digital Experience in the Heart of Downtown
Evolution AV recently completed a standout digital installation at 801 Seventh in downtown Calgary. This bold, custom-designed LED video wall transforms the building’s lobby into an immersive visual experience.
Formerly known as the Nexen Building, this tower underwent a major renovation to create a central, multi-use gathering space.
We partnered with Zeidler Architecture to deliver a striking digital art installation that completes the lobby’s transformation and positions it as one of Calgary’s premier workspaces.
Custom LED Wall Design & Integration
The LED wall spans over 11 square meters and features a layered, wave-like design using 1.9 mm pixel pitch indoor panels. At 4.5 meters tall, the display transitions from a solid image to a dispersed, pixelized form. It delivers stunning brightness, sharp resolution, and dynamic motion graphics that bring the space to life.
Powerful AV Technology Behind the Scenes
To support the unique aspect ratio and resolution, we integrated a BrightSign XC4055 8K media player with quad HDMI output, along with a NovaStar video wall processor for seamless video control. Content is cloud-managed through BSN.cloud, giving the client full flexibility and remote access to schedule and manage artwork and messaging.
A Turnkey AV Solution
From custom framing and power coordination to on-site training, we delivered a complete turnkey solution. Our expert team designed, built, and supported every aspect of the project.
Now, 801 Seventh welcomes visitors with a bold digital experience that sets it apart in Calgary’s downtown core.
