Project Highlight: EQ3 Polo Park

Founded in Winnipeg in 2001, EQ3 designs and manufactures high quality furniture at their Winnipeg headquarters. For their hometown flagship store, EQ3 wanted to create an immersive retail experience to let their designs shine. We worked with EQ3 to design and install AV systems that add to the showroom’s atmosphere while blending in with their design features.

The Audio System

Throughout the 44,000 square foot showroom, a robust audio system was needed to provide atmosphere and ambiance to the shopping experience. For this, we installed 41 speakers throughout the showroom, integrated with a Crestron control processor and an audio source from Sonos. This allows EQ3 to easily adjust volumes or change the music throughout the store, either from the touchscreen control panel or using a mobile device.

This audio system has also been linked with EQ3’s paging system. A VoIP interface has been installed and integrated with the central control processor, along with a tabletop push-to-talk microphone. This allows staff to easily broadcast announcements from any location in the store with a telephone, with minimal interruption to the atmosphere of the store.

A Window to the Factory

Although both the showroom and the factory are located in Winnipeg, they’re not quite close enough to see in the same visit. Enter the multiple 165” LCD video walls, allowing EQ3 to tell their story through dynamic video and visuals throughout their showroom. These LCD walls have been equipped with Brightsign Digital Signage players, allowing EQ3 to remotely update the content from their latest designs.
