In this Tech Tuesday, we take a look at the TeamConnect Ceiling 2, the newest installment in the line of leading conference room audio technology from our partner Sennheiser. The TeamConnect Ceiling 2 combines the advantages of a boundary microphone and a microphone array making it an ideal solution for both video conferencing and in-room audio! It is easy to install, integrates seamlessly with any conference system, and can easily be flush mounted onto standard ceilings.

 How it Works

The Teamconnect Ceiling 2 is a high-quality, discreet, in-ceiling microphone system equipped with various advanced features. The patented automatic speaker position detection and dynamic beamforming deliver superior speech intelligibility, and with five advanced exclusion zones, it's easy to customize the beam tracking based on the requirements of the environment.

Following the strategic microphone positioning determined by an AV integrator, the Teamconnect microphone is connected to a network or an individual device using Audinate Dante adaptors. Users can quickly spread out the ceiling microphone reception range to best suit a particular room, amplifying the zones in which voices are commonly heard. The Teamconnect can also accommodate custom “dead zones” instructing the microphone to ignore all inputs within a specified area, offering the best possible reception.

Ideal Use Case

The Teamconnect Ceiling Mic 2 is an incredibly versatile audio solution. Commonly used in presentation spaces, boardrooms and collaboration rooms, this audio solution can improve the sound quality in all sorts of environments. The benefits offered by Teamconnect are not exclusive to large spaces either. When used in a smaller boardroom setting (8 people or less), the TeamConnect can integrate with a BYOB system thanks to the Audinate Dante adaptors. Using a laptop, any user can connect to the room's AV via the adaptor, providing all meeting participants with a crystal clear conferencing experience.
