About the role
The Senior AV Installation Technician is responsible for installing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing commercial audio-visual systems in a variety of customer environments. This is a senior level position that will involve the management and supervision of other AV Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform audio-visual system installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment, rack setup, video displays, cameras, projection systems, media rooms, audio systems and control systems
- Perform cable pulls, crimp, and terminate audio and video cables
- Assist with structural installation of displays, screens, and projectors
- On-the-job training and development for new or less experienced AV Technicians
- Lead and supervise teams of AV Technicians to ensure installation completion
- Troubleshoot issues and perform final testing of installed systems
- All other duties as assigned/required
Qualifications
- Must currently live in Calgary or surrounding area
- Ability to read and follow building plans and wiring schematics
- Ability to lift heavy objects such as assisting with 80" displays or larger
- Ability to work off ladders and/or scaffolding
- Minimum 5 years of audio-visual experience
- Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract
- At least 2 years experience with Crestron and Biamp troubleshooting and code upload
Nice to have
- CTS certification
- Safety certifications such as First Aid, H2S, Elevated Work Platform, and CSTS
- Audio, video conferencing, or control equipment manufacturer certifications
