Project Highlight: MLT Aikins
MLT Aikins is a full-service law firm with offices across the four Western provinces. Throughout their offices, Evolution AV has been a trusted partner of MLT Aikins, providing AV solutions for collaboration, boardroom technology, and video conferencing throughout their 6 offices.
The Saskatoon Office
With a workforce of 250 lawyers over 6 offices, MLT Aikins’ Saskatoon office required a robust solution for remote communication with clients and other MLT Aikins offices across the country. Additionally, systems for efficient in-person collaboration and presenting were required in the main boardroom. MLT Aikins engaged Evolution AV to design and install a complete solution for their Saskatoon office.
The main boardroom, overlooking the South Saskatchewan River, features an 86 inch LOFT Interactive Display, which functions as both a display for video conferencing and as an interactive whiteboard for document display and collaboration. A LOFT C400 camera has been mounted to the top of the display, allowing for easy reframing of the video to suit the number of participants in the room.
On the boardroom table, four low profile Biamp table microphones provide audio coverage for all 14 seats. The room has also been outfitted with a Crestron touch screen scheduling panel, allowing for one-touch joining of meetings. For screen sharing, a Barco ClickShare system has been installed. This performs two functions: the system can share the screen of any laptop using only a USB dongle, and it can also be configured for BYOD (bring your own device) video conferencing, allowing users to use their own accounts for meetings instead of the central meeting room system.
