Project Highlight: BLVD Beltline
Centrally located in Calgary’s Beltine District, BLVD Beltline is a vibrant mixed-use building, featuring stunning views of the Bow River and Stampede Park. With an interior design style that bridges the gap between urban landscape and the urban forest, BLVD Beltline required AV solutions for their amenities that make it easy for residents to set the vibe, whether it be music through the party room, or movies and TV on the stunning outdoor video wall. ONE Properties, the developer of BLVD Beltline, selected Evolution AV to design, build, and install this solution.
At the entrance, digital signage is used to keep residents up to date with events and building announcements. The main floor was equipped with digital signage using NEC commercial displays, and integrated with BrightSign digital signage players for displaying content. These networked digital signage players make it easy to change all the signage throughout the building with a single click.
Located on the second and third floors, BLVD Beltiline’s amenity spaces are nothing short of first-class. We installed AV systems throughout the spaces, incl;uding in the party room, golf simulator, fitness center, and yoga studio. The party room/common space is equipped with 86" and 65" LOFT commercial displays, along with ElectroVoice speakers and subwoofers and networked audio that can be easily switched between a TV signal, a Line In source, or Bluetooth audio. The golf simulator, along with the projector and screen for the simulator, features a 55" LOFT display as well as networked speakers—perfect for keeping yourself entertained while your golf partners 5-putt every green.
The 2 story fitness center has both a cardio floor and weightlifting floor, along with an attached Yoga Studio. We installed LOFT 55" and 43" displays, along with networked video and audio. This allows multiple cable boxes to be freely routed throughout the gym, to show different channels on different displays, or have all displays showing the same source perfectly in sync. The yoga studio features an 86" LOFT display, along with HDMI and Bluetooth wall plates. This allows instructors to easily play their own music for classes, and also enables virtual and on-demand yoga classes. All of this is controlled by an easy-to-use wall-mounted control panel.
The crown jewel of BLVD Beltline is the 35th floor Sky Lounge. Here, we installed 55” and 75” LOFT commercial displays throughout the lounge, with the same networked AV routing system as other spaces in the building. The lounge also features a networked audio system with separately controllable zones. This allows different audio to be played inside and outside the lounge simultaneously, while also letting them be linked together.
These amenity spaces really set BLVD Beltline apart as a fantastic place to live and play—and the integrated AV systems help to elevate the experience.
