Tech Tuesday - FrontRow Lyrik

Welcome back to Tech Tuesday! This week, we’re featuring something a little different from our usual installed products… because this one goes everywhere! The FrontRow Lyrik provides classroom audio and amplification, wherever it is needed.

It Goes Where You Go

The Lyrik is fairly plain at first glance—it’s a compact speaker with a handle on top for easy carrying. Once you actually pick it up, however, you’ll start to feel the difference. Despite carrying a 60 watt speaker, the Lyrik is incredibly lightweight, weighing in at only 8.2 pounds! This makes it incredibly useful for highly mobile applications like field trips and track days.

Connectivity and Compatibility

On the back of the speaker, you’ll see a wide range of connectivity options. The Lyrik contains everything you’d expect from a loudspeaker: an XLR/6.35mm combo jack makes it easy to connect sound mixers or wired microphones.

Next to the XLR jack, you’ll find multiple options for mobile connectivity. This module contains a 3.5mm input, as well as Bluetooth to allow music streaming to the speaker from multiple devices. You’ll also find something unique on the back: a 3.5mm output. When used with the FrontRow Video Conferencing Cable Kit, the Lyrik can be used for video calls using its best feature: the built-in wireless microphones.

Freedom to Teach Anywhere

Included with the Lyrik, you’ll find a teacher microphone pod and a handheld microphone for students. The teacher microphone pod is designed to be worn as a necklace—however, a 3.5mm headset microphone can also be connected for more active applications. The student microphone works just like a wired handheld microphone, but requires no setup to connect to the speaker.

The Lyrik also includes features that make sure everything that needs to be heard gets heard. The PrioriTeach system can reduce the volume of the line or Bluetooth inputs while the teacher is speaking. Additionally, the wireless microphones have a range of up to 230 feet—that’s more than an NHL rink!
