Tech Tuesday: 5 Beautiful AV Projects

This week on Tech Tuesdays, we’re doing something a little different. We’re taking a look back at some of the most impressively designed spaces that we’ve had the pleasure of working on.

carya Village Commons

This community hub, located in Calgary’s East Village, has been designed to be a place to grow, learn, and connect with each other. This space features a variety of community and learning spaces, like classrooms, art studios, and their learning kitchen. To use this space to its fullest, carya required AV systems throughout the space. We installed AV systems to help facilitate carya’s programming—like the teaching kitchen setup, which features a LOFT C400 motorized camera and DS Series commercial displays that enable in-person and online cooking classes.

Conexus Credit Union

Built as a part of the University of Regina’s College Avenue Campus Renewal, Conexus’ new headquarters takes cues from the century-old architecture of Darke Hall and adds a modern twist. The building features everything from huddle rooms to 20-person conference rooms with multiple displays, alongside a stunning living wall.   The architecture firm, P3Architecture, designed the building envelope to complement the gothic architecture of the historic College Avenue campus, giving the building a striking view from street level.

103 Street Center

Designed by Edmonton architecture firm Arc Studio, 103 Street Centre sets a new standard for the modern-day work environment. The building's technology is sophisticated while providing the intuitive end-user experience required in coworking and collaborative spaces.

The two-story amenity area includes a conference centre, tenant lounge, presentation room, and gym. We installed audio visual components throughout 25,000 square feet of space, including video conferencing, digital and interactive displays, audio systems, control and automation and projection technology.

Museum of North Vancouver and Archives

The new Museum of North Vancouver, located in, well, North Vancouver, is dedicated to telling the stories of the North Shore. Throughout the museum, projectors are used to bring the history of the region to life, and the museum also features a workshop space with an electric projection screen, which automatically folds away when not in use.
