Project Highlight: Pavilion Courthouse 6 Ave
The Company
Pavilion Cowork, a Vancouver based company owned by developer Alabaster Homes, recently opened its fourth location of interconnected, experience-driven office spaces. This time, they branched out of their home market of Vancouver to bring their shared workspace model to the busy streets of downtown Calgary.
In a space with so many different people, companies, and fields, privacy and simplicity is crucial. That’s why Pavilion reached out to us to implement user-friendly AV systems that seamlessly blend usability, functionality, and high-end aesthetics into one cohesive package.
The Project
Meeting Rooms
This project features several meeting rooms outfitted with in-room video conferencing capabilities, presentation functionalities, and scheduling panels supplied by Yealink. BYOD friendly systems allow users to connect their own devices instantly using in-room cables, reducing setup time and eliminating compatibility issues between different laptops, meeting platforms, and room design. Members are able to walk in, connect, and start presenting without issue, making it perfect for bookable rooms with rotating participants.
Sound Design
Pavilion and Alabaster Homes are known for their modern, luxury designs, so it was no surprise that the sound dampening panels on the ceiling are so intricate.
This presented a challenge for our installation techs to integrate the in-ceiling speakers from Sonance and sound masking emitters from Atlas to maintain this sleek design. For the successful installation of these speakers within the tiles, it was vital to have precise speaker specifications and great attention to detail.
Seamlessly blending into the ceiling of communal areas, the speakers provide background music while the sound masking technology reduces the intelligibility of speech, making conversations less distracting and more private.
Our AV Solution
Our expert team of designers and installation technicians built this system to align perfectly with the minimalist, clean design that Pavilion is known for. From hidden speakers to interactive displays, this project required a high-level of coordination to maintain to the construction schedule and provide an elegant aesthetic throughout the space.
